QGEP brings exhibition to Maricá

Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção has brought to the city of Maricá, through its partnership with the Portinari Project, the "Portinari: Art and Environment" exhibition. The event was inaugurated on May 26, the city’s 199th birthday, and will be available for visitation until June 7 at Casa da Cultura.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by people of the city, as well as Maricá’s authorities. At the Orlando de Barros Pimentel square, workshops of arts were carried out by volunteer tutors.

But the project goes beyond a simple exhibition. According to Andréa Cunha, the Subsecretary of Education, more than 1,500 municipal school students aged between 2 and 16 years will benefit from the initiative. "Through the Portinari Project, we are going to work on the Environment Week’s themes and expand the scope of the educational activities already planned."
